Product Development Officer

Innovative Biotech company in Human Tissue Allografts

Australian Biotechnologies manufactures allograft solutions for a wide range of patient needs and surgical procedures. We are committed to research and development, focusing on ensuring safety whilst improving clinical efficacy.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time product development officer to join our R&D/Innovation team.

The Role:

As a Product Development officer, you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of new innovative products. Working with the research and development team you will support the product development lifecycle managing all aspects, creating quality protocols, performing training and monitoring the status of the project to ensure they are delivered on-time and within scope.

Position Summary:

  • Coordination of research and development projects both within and outside of Australian Biotechnologies.
  • Organise, execute and complete process validations on new product lines and technologies.
  • Implementing project plans and organise resources to complete validations/qualifications within set deadlines.
  • Preparing documents for the submission of product dossiers and product variations for regulatory review.

Qualifications & Required Expertise:

  • A relevant tertiary science, biotechnology or biomedical qualification.
  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience preferred in this area.
  • Experience in innovation and R&D.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer skills such as MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in regulatory environments with a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
  • Time management skills to achieve deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work with the research and development team and applicable department managers to ensure new product validations are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform any tasks that may be required to complete research and validation studies.
  • Assess regulatory, product and patient risks associated with the development of new products and/or technologies.
  • Write validation protocols and reports.
  • Prepare dossiers submissions for new products.
  • Perform validation and studies within the clean rooms.
  • Perform training on new product lines and technologies.

Salary will be dependent on experience.
